Kilbaha Summer School
Krystyna Pomeroy or Kim Thittichai
Monday 18th - Thursday 21st June 2018
Be inspired by the seclusion and magic of the Loop Head peninsula.
This is a rare opportunity to share the working space of artists Krystyna Pomeroy or Kim Thittichai. Choose who you would like to work with, then we’ll all meet up on our first day to get to know each other.
Krystyna will encourage you to explore design and form. You will make a 3D multi media piece based on the bird life of the local area. There will be an emphasis on developing simplicity of form, adding texture through surface finish.
With Kim you will explore and develop new surfaces with softer and heavy interfacings to create free form sculptures or vessels. You will draw inspiration for colour and textures from the local landscape. The local rock formations, flora and fauna, lichen, graveyards and dry stone walls.
The Summer School starts on Monday June 18th at 4pm. With drinks and nibbles from 4pm – 7pm at Kim’s house - Sonas.
A chance to relax and meet the other students and the tutors.
